$129–$246. Front doors, unit doors, patio sliders and the garage service door, opened without marking the leaf or the hardware. The range already holds the $89 call-out, and the hour is named before the van moves: $48 after 8pm, $86 after midnight. Both ends of the day are the busy ones here, because that is when there is nobody on the street to ask.

$106–$199. A wedge and a long reach tool at the curb, in the mall lot or two levels under a complex, with the paint and the weather seal left alone. Say if the car sits behind a gate you cannot open from outside, because somebody has to walk the technician in and that is the part that costs minutes. Once the van is beside the car the door is usually open inside five minutes.

$142–$265. A shop in Midtown, a suite up a stair, a stockroom or a warehouse door at the business park, opened once a lease, a badge or the manager on the phone establishes who you are. These land at closing time, so the $48 evening rate comes up often and it sits inside the total you agree to. After midnight it is $86, and the figure you hear is the whole figure.

$172–$455. The jamb is rebuilt through to the stud, the strike takes long screws into framing instead of trim, and a new cylinder with a bolt that reaches again finishes it. One visit, and the door locks before the van leaves. Every part and every hour goes on its own line, because an insurer or a building manager will ask for exactly that.

$30–$47 per cylinder. New pins go into the lock already on the door, so every key cut before that morning stops working and nothing about the door changes visibly. This is the ordinary first-month job on a tract house: front, back, garage service door and the gate all answering to one key, and six cylinders on a hillside property with two gates. Each cylinder after the first costs less, since the trip is paid for once.

$126–$338. Deadbolts, knob sets and levers, including the first real deadbolt on a house that has run its whole life on a knob latch. On a leaf that has dropped, the hinges and the strike come back into line first, because new hardware on a crooked door fails the same way the old hardware did. Gate latches and garage service doors count as doors here and get the same treatment.

$198–$496. A keypad or app lock fitted to a door that has been squared and prepared for it, with the codes you choose entered twice before anyone leaves. The override blank in the box has never been cut, so it gets cut at the van and turned in the cylinder while you watch. In a complex, ask the building first about anything on a door that faces a shared hallway.

$204–$548. A dead combination, a jammed bolt or a safe that came with the house, worked open by hand where it stands rather than hauled off in a truck. Most of these are closet and floor safes in the tracts and the condos, and most open without a drill. Afterward it is set to a number you choose, and the place to keep that number is not the room the safe is in.

One key sitting above a key for a landlord holding a row of units at the business park, an owner with shops and offices in Midtown, or a building where a stair, a utility room and a mailbox bank all have to answer to the manager. No range is published because the chart has to exist before the figure does, and drawing the chart takes an hour with a notebook.

$312–$805 per door. New exit devices, rebuilds and realignments on warehouse rear doors, kitchens and shop back doors, so the latch drops into the keeper instead of grinding past it. A device that has been chained, blocked or propped open is the usual reason for the call, and the answer to it is mechanical rather than a conversation. Outside cylinders can be brought onto a master key you already carry.

On every leaf the mechanical override cylinder is left working and keyed to a key that actually exists, which is the part that usually gets skipped. For a building that already has a system, the access list stays with whoever manages it.

Aluminum glass doors in Midtown and at the business park, where a hook bolt stops throwing, a deadlatch wears shallow, a cylinder gives up, or a closer drags the door out of square. The leaf gets straightened and the keeper moved before new hardware goes on, otherwise the new lock inherits the old problem. Locked out in the middle of a shift is a $142–$265 lockout, and the repair can follow in the same visit.

$156–$429. A blade or proximity key cut and coded to the car where it is parked, with a spare made in the same session even when every key is gone. The dealer route on a car with no keys left usually starts with a tow, and this one does not. Paperwork is matched to the plate first, and then the machine gets turned on.

$94–$199. A car remote or proximity fob paired without moving the vehicle, and the old fob either kept as a backup or erased from the car's memory, whichever you prefer. If it is a used fob you bought yourself, say so on the call, because not every car will take one on. Gate remotes and building cards are a separate matter and belong to whoever manages the building.

$186–$468. A cylinder that will not rotate, or rotates and leaves the dash dead, rebuilt or exchanged at the curb or in a parking structure. A worn key is behind half of these, so the key gets replaced along with the lock where the make allows it. Where it allows it, the result runs on the door key already in your pocket.

$126–$295. Bikes and scooters, with the blade cut from the lock code and the chip coded on the spot, in a garage or at the curb where the bike stands. No trailer, no waiting on a dealer order. Say the make, the model year and whether any working key is left at all, because that changes the work.
